Chairperson, Peter Henneken AM today announced the finalists in the awards with the winners to be announced at a gala dinner in Melbourne on Tuesday 13 September 2011.
Mr Henneken said while previous entries have been of the highest calibre, this year has surpassed all expectations.
“It’s delightful to be part of Safety Awards that people have taken to heart, they want to be a part of getting the safety at work message to every workplace.
“I know it has been so hard to split the entries this year and I look forward to announcing the winners in a few months time”, Mr Henneken said.
In its 12th year, the safety awards recognise and reward excellence in work health and safety, rehabilitation and return to work achieved by employers and employees within the Comcare scheme.
The finalists in each of the six award categories are:
