SRCC praises 'collaborative' CEO
The Safety Rehabilitation and Compensation Commission (SRCC) today praised outgoing Comcare CEO, Mr Martin Dolan, for his valuable contribution to workplace health and safety.
Mr Dolan will be leaving Comcare on 30 June to take up an appointment as Chief Commissioner of the Australian Transport Safety Bureau—a new independent statutory authority in the Commonwealth transport and infrastructure portfolio responsible for Australia’s major transport safety investigations.
SRCC chairman, Les Taylor, said Mr Dolan’s collaborative approach to building partnerships with agencies in the Comcare scheme has yielded strong results for the jurisdiction.
“Under Martin’s leadership, the Comcare scheme has had many successes such as the continued reduction in claims through improved prevention of workplace injuries.”
“Martin’s regulatory approach to building partnerships with employers and employees will be one of his strongest legacies. On behalf of the SRCC, I would like to thank Martin for his contribution to the scheme,” Mr Taylor said.
The Deputy Prime Minister has yet to announce Mr Dolan’s successor. Mr Steve Kibble will be acting in the CEO role until the commencement of Comcare’s new CEO.
