At the meeting, the SRCC considered a self-insurance licence application for Bevchain Pty Limited and self-insurance licence variation applications of Visionstream Pty Ltd and the Australian Capital Territory Government.
Below are the outcomes from the 25 June 2021 SRCC meeting.
Grant of licence to Bevchain Pty Limited (Bevchain)
The SRCC agreed to grant Bevchain Pty Limited (Bevchain) a self-insurance licence under section 102 of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 contingent on the provision of a suitable guarantee and reinsurance policy.
The SRCC agreed that the licence will commence from 12.01am Australian Eastern Standard Time on 1 July 2021 for a period of eight years ending at midnight Australian Eastern Standard Time on 30 June 2029.
Self-insurance licence variation applications
The SRCC agreed to vary the licence of Visionstream Pty Ltd by replacing Employers Mutual Limited (EML) with Gallagher Bassett Services Pty Ltd (Gallagher Bassett) as the contracted claims manager effective 30 June 2021.
The SRCC agreed to grant an extension of the transition period to 31 December 2021 for the licence of the Australian Capital Territory Government.
