Self-insurers are obliged to adhere to compliance measures imposed by the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Commission. These include, but are not limited to, licence conditions; performance standards and measures; and reporting requirements.

On 13 June 2017, the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Commission (the Commission) granted a self-insurance licence to Ron Finemore Transport Services Pty Ltd (RFTS) under Part VIII of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (SRC Act). The licence will commence from 1 July 2017 and expire on 30 June 2025.
Key outcomes from the 8 March 2017 meeting
Ron Finemore Transport Services Pty Ltd has lodged a self-insurance licence application. The Commission will consider the application at its June 2017 meeting.
