Outcomes from 11 September 2025 SRCC meeting
The SRCC met on 11 September 2025 to consider governance and regulatory issues and the quarter four performance reports of individual licensees.
The Hon Amanda Rishworth, Minister of Employment and Workplace Relations, joined the meeting for a discussion on the Commission, its priorities and focus areas.
National Audit Tool
The SRCC agreed to update its Licence Compliance and Performance Model (LCPM) to adopt the Australian Standard of ISO45001 certification as its standard for a licensee prevention management system, through a transition process. The SRCC further agreed to review the LCPM with a view to, in consultation with licensees and unions, strengthen licensee reporting and information gathering from WHS regulators on work health and safety performance.
Updated Statement of Intent
On 13 August 2025, the Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, the Hon Amanda Rishworth, issued an updated Ministerial Statement of Expectations to the SRCC as a regulator under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 and the Work, Health and Safety Act 2011.
The Statement of Expectations provides the Minister’s expectations of regulators under the Regulator Performance guide in line with their statutory objectives. In response, at its September meeting, the SRCC considered and endorsed its revised Statement of Intent.
The endorsed Statement of Intent has been provided to the Minister and will be shortly published to the SRCC website, alongside the updated Statement of Expectations.

The next meeting of the SRCC will be held on 11 December 2025.
