Become a self-insurer

Everyone in the workplace has duties and responsibilities in relation to health, safety and rehabilitation at work.

Learn about the application process to become a self-insured licensee including timeframes and eligibility.

Becoming a self-insured licensee under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (SRC Act) is a two-step process.

We have the power to grant a licence to self-insure to eligible applicants and to extend the term of an existing licence.

We accept submissions regarding self-insurance licence applications and extensions as well as for other matters.

We follow protocols relating to both the submission of self-insurance licence applications and the submission of comments.
