Outcomes from 12 June 2025 SRCC meeting

The SRCC met on 12 June 2025 to consider governance and regulatory issues and the quarter three performance reports of individual licensees.
Review of standard licence period
The SRCC agreed to retain its current position in granting licences for a period of up to four years. This will be reviewed in a further six months following consideration of recommendations from the independent review of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988.
Commission oversight
The SRCC agreed to strengthen its oversight and monitoring of licensees in relation to:
- Timeliness of licensee decision making against statutory timeframes
- Licensee implementation of Tribunal and Court outcomes.
Update to Licence Compliance and Performance Model
At the meeting, the SRCC agreed to minor amendments in the Licence Compliance and Performance Model (LCPM). The changes are administrative in nature, and do not change the SRCC’s regulatory approach.
The new version of the LCPM will be uploaded to the SRCC website shortly.
Annual Licensee Engagement Session
The SRCC held its annual engagement session with Licensees on 13 June 2025.
