Outcomes from 18 June 2026 SRCC meeting
The SRCC met on 18 June 2026 to consider governance and regulatory issues, and the quarter three performance reports of individual licensees.
Prevention System Assurance
The SRCC endorsed updates to the Licence Compliance and Performance Model (LCPM) to support implementation of the ISO 45001 certification and alignment assurance program. Members also noted progress in implementing the transition plan and engagement with self-insured licensees.
Licence Compliance and Performance Model review
The SRCC considered updates on the review of the Licence Compliance and Performance Model and stakeholder feedback received through consultation. Members agreed to progress priority improvement areas and continue developing additional enhancements for future consultation.
Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Directions amendments
The SRCC considered the impact of recent amendments to the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Directions 2019 on the assessment of self-insurance licence applications and agreed that further work will be undertaken to update supporting assessment processes and guidance materials.
2026-27 Operational Plan
The SRCC endorsed it 2026-27 operational plan, which outlines the key activities of the SRCC to drive improvements, consider the Commission’s strategic risks, outline how the Commission engages with relevant stakeholders and reports on the activities undertaken by the SRCC against its functions and powers under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 and the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
