Outcomes of recent SRCC meetings (News)

The Commission met on 22 March 2023 and 4 April 2023 to consider the licence application for Amplitel Pty Ltd, licence extension applications for those licensees whose licenses are due to expire on 30 June 2023, as well as the performance reports of individual licensees for the second quarter of 2022-23.


Grant of licence to Amplitel Pty Ltd

The SRCC agreed to grant Amplitel Pty Ltd a self-insurance licence under section 102 of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (SRC Act), contingent on the provision of a suitable guarantee and reinsurance policy.

The SRCC agreed that the licence would commence from 12.01am (AEST) on 3 April 2023 for an eight year period ending at midnight (AEST) on 2 April 2031.

Grant of licence extensions

The SRCC considered licence extension applications for received for the following licensees, and agreed to extend the licences for each under section 105 of the SRC Act:

  • Bis Industries Limted
  • CSL Limited
  • Fleetmaster Services Pty Ltd
  • Linfox Australia Pty Ltd
  • Linfox Armaguard Pty Ltd
  • Medibank Private Limited
  • Optus Administration Pty Ltd
  • Reserve Bank of Australia and
  • Visionstream Pty Ltd
  • Wilson Security Pty Ltd.

Revised performance measures

The SRCC has been undertaking a review of its Performance Standards and Measures with the objective of providing measures that support the SRCC  in continuing to drive improved outcomes by licensees as well as reporting efficiencies.

Following a period of consultation and testing, at the 22 March 2023 meeting, the SRCC endorsed revised measures, to be implemented from 1 July 2023.

The SRCC will write to all affected stakeholders to provide further details on the revised measures. The Licence Compliance and Performance Model (PDF, 2.0 MB) will also be updated to reflect the revised measures prior to implementation.

The SRCC would like to thank all stakeholders for their input throughout the review process, and to those licensees that participated in a trial of the revised performance measures.
